Why am I being ask for the parental control PIN?

Why I am I being asked for the PIN number for shows on Sky Comedy that are being scheduled at their normal time? And why when I've entered it once for one show, does it ask me AGAIN for the next show?

I've turned off all the available parental control settings but there doesn't seem to be one for this

Re: Why am I being ask for the parental control PIN?

Sky Comedy sometimes shows pre-watershed programmes before the watershed, eg Sex and the City, Curb your Enthusiasm, Veep, and Divorce. All flagged as rated 15 or 18. PIN protection allows them to do that.

Read it again!

"This is largely in part due to a number of pieces of legislation set out by the regulator."

This is nothing to do with Sky & everything to do with OFCOM regulations & HM Government legislation.

Sky is owned by Comcast now, not the Murdochs.

Re: Why am I being ask for the parental control PIN?

Oh I read that. I just don't accept it as an excuse. And, so far, I cannot find the exact ruling on the OFCOM website that requires a PIN number that cannot be turned off.

I posted the links for the OFCOM rules and why it now affects non-premium channels here
