Virgin Media Store issue viewing purchases

We have purchased a series for the first time on virgin media store

everytime we try to watch an episode it keeps skipping/jumping and The screen starts flicking on and off. We have tried several episodes just incase it was the first one but all do the same. I have restarted the tv box and tv several times and it’s still not working. 
we don’t have these issues when watching normal tv/ Netflix etc.

Yes I have tried several times but it says they are Closed on automated voice mail
