Variable volume across channels

Hi.

Newish V6 box and newish RCA Roku tv.

The variation in volume between channels is now far greater than ever before. I might have a tv volume of 5 on one channel and change it to 40 for another channel to be audible. Does Virgin make any attempt to equalise volume across channels? Why have I not noticed this in the past 30 years? There is no remarkable difference between Amazon channels.

That "solution" actually isn't one and the options listed there are not the same as those on my box. It did, however, point me toward the correct answer.

The answer is to set Audio Output to "Dolby Digital > PCM".
