V6 query

Is the Virgin V6  box their top of the range product  ? Or is their an upgrade in quality of television picture imminent  ? Asking simply because i don't know whether to upgrade my television for an Oled model supposedly superb in picture quality or wait and see if Virgin are moving in that direction with the V6 box ?

Regards

Going by your past posts, you have a V6 currently - in which case there is nothing better available, the box supports 4K/UHD if that's your thing.

The only alternative is to voluntarily convert the software to TV360 which is very similar to converting between Apple & Android. The user interface is totally different, but apart from a couple of extra streaming apps - there is very little (if any) additional functionality.

Both the V6 and 360 support UHD, HLG (but not Dolby Vision or HDR10+) and Dolby Atmos. All new apps such as Disney+ and Paramount+ are developed for the 360 but not the V6.

Be aware that AFAIK the process of converting a V6 box from using the TiVo software over to the 360 software is a one way process which can never be reversed and you'd lose all recordings on the box
