Than power adaptor to my v6 tv box has broken. I phoned to sort a replacement and was informed they do not supply other than with initial set-up. I was wondering if anyone knows if this is correct.

Did you call to request the power-supply? Or to report the fault that you have with your V6 not switching on?
As pedantic as it sounds, you may be falling foul of the "keep it simple" theory with the faults-agent you spoke to...

I definitely explained it was the power adaptor as I even had to tell her the model of adaptor and what connection it has to plug in.

There may be your mistake.
Perhaps call faults and report a power failure, but don't confuse the agent by what could be (is) the fault. Having said that, you may get a better agent just by calling back.
That, or wait a day or so on here for one of the staff team to pick up.

Hi thanks for the reply yes I am having trouble with the power adaptor. It is definitely the adaptor as there is a split in the cable
