Re: V6 picture issue

Hi guys, thanks for posting on the forums,

We don't want to hear of you having these issues but there are a few things we need to check out first.

  • What TV make and model do you have?
  • Are the televisions 4K?
  • Have you tried different HDMI ports?
  • Have you tried a different HDMI cable?
  • Have you tried changing the resolution of the display on the V6 box?

It all reeks of an HDMI handshake issue between devices. I have the same sort of issue with my PS4 Pro. Do you have any sound when you turn the V6 box on?

Many thanks,

Re: V6 picture issue

  • What TV make and model do you have? Samsung 42" LED
  • Are the televisions 4K? No
  • Have you tried different HDMI ports? Yes
  • Have you tried a different HDMI cable? Yes
  • Have you tried changing the resolution of the display on the V6 box? No - but the issue isn't that.

FYI - I see the Channel Guide fine, it's the programs themselves. Channel guide is ALWAYS fine. So it's not the signal from the box to the TV, it's generating the signal either from the street box to the V6 or within the V6 itself.

I had a replacement box a while back for this very issue, and it was OK for a while, but now it's not. I get the same issue. I'm very tempted to think it's the signal transmitter inside the box, because I get the same issue with this box when viewing youtube or netflix via the apps within the box (but never when I use the apps on my smart blu-ray). I've fed the blu ray signal into all hdmi ports and that's fine but I get the same issue with the V6 whichever port I use and whichever cable.

As for start up sound, it's no different to my other V6 box in the lounge, which works absolutely fine.
