V6 issue if Hub3 in modem mode

Just received a new Hub3 when the old one packed up. WiFi has always been an issue in our house (old and very thick walls) and seems to be even worse using the latest Hub. VM engineer recommended putting in a Mesh system so I did. But to make it work (Deco M5 3 pack) I was told to put the Hub3 into modem only mode. I did so but doing that changes the Gateway to 192.168.100.1 instead of 192.168.0.1

The main V6 box (we have 2 but the second one runs off the WiFI as regards Internet) plays programs fine but various features needing Internet now fail because in network settings it is looking for 192.168.0.1 and cannot find it.   I cannot see how to tell the V6 box to look for the 100.1 version of the Gateway address.

For the record, so far the M5 seems to work well and it certainly reaches the parts the Hub3 could not.

Any guidance gratefully received.

The v6 needs to be wired to the Deco or connected to the Deco WiFi if you have put the hub in modem mode
