Hi I just got sent a replacement box as my v6 stopped working. I was sent a TiVo box what is the difference?
is this not a downgrade?
Yes, replacing a V6 with a TiVo shouldn't happen. It is a downgrade.
What were the circumstances for replacing your box? And was it done by self-install or an engineer visit?

The box had to be replaced as it would no longer power on.
I opted for self install for the replacement box and this TiVo box is what arrived and there was no mention of it in the phone call.
I’ll have to try calling them tomorrow to get a v6 box sent out

Well that's "odd" at best.

Please post back and let us know how you get on, or have any problems. Hopefully not.
Sorry to hear that this has happened to you and yes as @japitts said that would be a downgrade and it shouldn't have happened.
I can see on your account that you have spoken to the team and arranged for a new box to be sent out to you.
Please let us know if you have any further issues.
