when on standby the box light goes from red to amber after a few minutes. I then have to reset the box by turning it off and on. This has happened many times but now resetting the box does not work so I have no TV
It can sometimes be worth checking on your power saving options if your box has a problem coming out of standby.
It sounds like yours has gone beyond that point and you'll need to call VM to report your box faulty. 150 from a VM phone, 0345 4541111 from any other phone.

Thanks for your reply. I eventually was able to contact Virgin who sent me a replacement box within 24 hours.
