Re: V6 box overheating on Standby

Yes

I was tied up waiting for a support tech to answer the phone for 30 nminutes, then on the phone to him for another 30 minutes. He obviously had no technical knowledge and after wasting an hour of my day we have arranged for a real engineer to visit in a few days time when I can make myself available. What a waste of time!

Re: V6 box overheating on Standby

I am sorry to hear this, I do beleive the best thing is a tech, he will then be able to check everything else while there.

Kind regards

Paul.

Re: V6 box overheating on Standby

It would appear that the quiescent current drawn by these units when on standby is totally unrealistic.

Have Virgin not heard about global warming and saving energy?

Re: V6 box overheating on Standby

It would help a lot if we weren't kept hanging around all morning with no communication from an engineer or anyone from tech support so far.

The appointment was made as 8 to 12 but nothing at all so far!

My patience with Virgin is wearing very thin. I've been a continuous customer since blueyonder days and wonder why I've kept on paying for services that don't work, or that I don't really use that much.
