What do you mean by "resetting".
If you are powering off the V6 at night (why?) then when you switch it on it will take a little longer (1-2 mins?) to connect up and start delivering TV.

My V6 box is permanently switched on and goes into stand by mode at night now when I switch it on I get a no signal message and have to switch it off at the mains and wait for it to restart

I too have this problem. Doesn't do it every time but often enough to be an annoying.

reported the issue and had a nice new box fitted but that DIDN'T solve the problem. engineer said he couldn't find anything else wrong so maybe software related? Can't think what else it could be if it works sometimes and not others.

How are you both connecting them to the Hub - wifi or Cat6 cable ?

Is normal. Virgin know this years ago. They promise make it stop but promises mean nothing when they just put prices up instead for same old. Cause it energy mode.

Re: V6 box needs resetting every time it's switched on

It's a compatibility problem with your TV, sony bravias were common for this.  Pulling the HDMI lead out and back in is quicker than rebooting the box

Re: V6 box needs resetting every time it's switched on

Some people found that turning on the TV first solved the handshaking problem.

Re: V6 box needs resetting every time it's switched on

I'm very fed up with this situation too. I've been having to reboot the Tivo every day for the last few weeks in order to get Virgin working on my TV. It was working brilliantly for over a year. I've done nothing to alter the setup (as originally done by Virgin Engineer). I've touched nothing. With my set up, you have to turn on the Tivo first, then the TV. My TV is connected to router by ethernet and HMDI. I'm too busy during the day to start phoning. So when I'm home at night, and settle down to enjoy my Virgin TV experience, it ends in frustration. (I keep missing the start of my programes). What I find odd is: how is it that what worked perfectly for a year now does not, when nothing has changed?

What should I do? I'm baffled too.....
