V6 Tv box will not startup and making noise

Hello, my tv box wont stop beeping and is stuck in a start up loop. 

Any ideas what the issue is? Ive turned off/on the mains but no luck.

Sorry to see you are having problems with your V6 boix.

Try the following, it's worked for some forum members.

Turn off the V6 at switch;  then on the V6 box  hold down both the power button and the +button at the same time.

Then turn on the V6 again whilst keeping hold of those buttons for a further 30 seconds.

The box should reboot, the power button will turn blue, and it should  reset and boot up normally.

If that doesn't work you should either contact faults or wait a few days for a member of the forum team to pick this up for you.

To contact faults  call  150 from a Virgin landline or mobile, or 0345 454 1111, option 2 (Faults

When calling Faults you will hear the automated response asking you to press 1 for the link to online support etc

Ignore all the options and don't press any buttons then you should be placed into a queue and an agent should pick up the phone and book the tech for you.

Although "won't stop beeping" sounds like a physical fault with the hard drive which can't be repaired.

Hi - thanks for posting this. I've just done this being guided by VM support on the chat system & it works fine. The only thing different is that the power light didn't turn blue & VM said it flashes off & on (which it did) & the welcome screen appears & release the buttons. The reboots as you say.
