V6 Remote

Hi,

I need to get a new remote sent out to me. I’ve tried replacing batteries, reset and re-pair. But it’s just dead.  Any get through to anyone on 150. Can any one sort this out for me?

My v6 remote has stopped working a few days ago I have been through all the steps changing the batteries etc but it does not even light up when a button is pushed.

Hi md001d4095,

Click on Check service status further up this page, then when the page opens scroll down to the three tabs, broadand, TV and phone. 

Click on the TV tab, then my remote isn't working and follow the prompts.

You should be able to order a replacement remote from there, also if you have a V6 box you can download the TV Control app from the same page and use that until you receive the replacement remote. If you get the Oops message, somethings gone wrong" try a different browser.

You can also order one via  the TV Faults option when dialling 150 or 0345 454 1111, but best to call at 8am to avoid call queues

You could also try the text messaging service. Just send  a text with a description of new remote  to 07533 051809. Your message will go into a queue and a representative will respond to you as soon as possible. It may take a few days.

Thanks for getting back to me

This is what happens if I follow the service status link

 150 just sends me a link to the same thing 

So I have sent a txt to 07533 051809  saying new remote to see if this works 

 Fingers crossed

That's odd, it's working for me using Chrome, Firefox and Edge browsers.

You can also try by logging into My Virgin Media and following the same steps.

EDIT: Just noticed you are using a mobile which may explain why it isn't working.

Try Chrome and my.virginmedia.com   possibly click on browser settings and desktop version

I have been on desktop site but its the same. 

Did you actually click on order new remote because that is when it goes wrong.

Hi again md001d4095,

Sorry to see it's still giving an error.

I have to hold my hands up, I didn't try to order a replacment remote as I don't need one (I already have a spare)

Hopefully one of the VIP's or Forum Mod team can pick up and report that there's an error at the end of the order process.

Hopefully the text messenger or phone will sort this out quickly.

Have you downloaded the TV Control app to use in the meantime?  tvgo-tvcontrol   It's a bit fiddly, but better than nothing for now.
