V6 Pin Number

We had new V6 box installed a week or so ago. Only just found out it is not recognising our PIN number. PIN number works fine on our other V6 box. How do we get the new box to recognise our PIN number?

Jim.

Re: V6 Pin Number

Default pin is 1234. You could try a reset - though it will wipe any recordings and links etc.
If you want to, do it this way.
Turn the V6 off with the " rocker "switch at the back of the box unplug for 5 minutes. Plug it in again. Then, hold the + and standby buttons (on the front of the V6) together simultaneously and then turn the box on with rocker switch, keep the buttons pressed, and wait till you see the welcome screen appear on the TV - then release the buttons.

Re: V6 Pin Number

Thanks for replies, will give that a go.

Certainly don’t want to do a reset, this is the box the wife uses and she has just spent several hours installing all her series links etc as the official VM page for that was not working last week.

Is there no way I can get this box to accept our current PIN?

Re: V6 Pin Number

All you have to do is a PIN change from 1234.

Re: V6 Pin Number

I was looking through the menus for that option. Finally found it by selecting Parental Controls.

All now sorted.

Thanks for all replies.
