V6 Internet Dropping

V6 box

Connected via Ethernet Cable to the Hub 3 situated 3 feet away

Daily internet dropouts

Has been occurring for months. Have rebooted the box on a number of occasions

Drops internet while using Netflix / Amazon Prime / Catch-up etc. The box shows a red light with 2 arrows, and also a red WiFi light. The drop outs only last 30 seconds, then the lights go out, and all is fine again. Very frustrating while watching a movie. Might occur once one night, then 4 or 5 times the night after.

During these dropouts, the internet is fine. I can continue browsing on my phone without interruption.

Re: V6 Internet Dropping

Perhaps unplug the ethernet cable and set up the v6 via WiFi if you find the wifi is more stable?

Re: V6 Internet Dropping

I can give this a try, although I’m curious... why would WiFi be more reliable than an Ethernet connection? Surely the Ethernet connection should be more reliable?

It should be, you're right.

But in your case, it's something else to try/eliminate.
