Just to confirm the issue you were having as im looking to try this same setup using a video sender (RCA). When you used your original splitter were you getting sound but no picture?
My current issue is that i have a splitter which plugs into the V6 box (link to this below) and when i use this with both connected i get no picture but i get sound and i can use the menu etc and on some channels i see press the red button pop up in the corner as if the picture is on but not showing.
I find this strange as the menu works fine and i can navigate everything but cant get the physical image of what i'm watching unless put the box on standby then turn it back on and it comes back for about 3 seconds then goes black again.
With the original splitter I wasn't getting picture or sound. The new one works fine.
In the features section of the one you sent the link for it says "NOTE: Only 1 output device should be active at any time." Not sure if this is causing your problem, but I'm no expert, it's been trial and error with me.
Tried many of the options above and still no joy splitting to a TV and a Projector. However digging a bit deeper (and also on other forums) it looks like Virgin's latest version of HDMI 1.4+ has a new HDCP 2.2 which most splitters cannot use and certainly not for splitting to older TV's and projectors which need HDCP 1.4 (with less 'protection' ) . To solve this search for 'Stripper' and 'Bypasses HDCP' (as well as splitter) what this means is stripping HDCP 2.2 back to HDCP 1.4 >> Problem solved !!
(shame on Virgin for not making this clear OR connecting up the Scart port on the V6 box ;-/ ... we dont all have or want 4K .. little content and need hawk eyes 🙂 )
Which produces a brilliant picture on all my HD freeview TVs. With the wireless function of the Virgin V6 remote control I can even use the remote in another room, with the RF fed (freeview) TV. There is, however, a 1 second (or so) latency (for the modulator to convert and transmit its signal), as mentioned by bacus in the post: Digisender compatable with new V6 box on 21-12-2016
Amazon are currently out of stock of the one you specified. I have bought two splitters already and they do not work on my V6 box but works fine on my DVD player. Can you verify what i should be looking for when buying an alternative splitter
Hi there, can you confirm that the Neotek splitter is successfully providing a 4k/UHD signal to the TV's. I've had 2 of the Neet units which are supposeed to be the same spec, but they seem to downscale to 1080p.
