V6 Box record and rewind issues

My V6 box which we have had 3-4 years, stutters if you rewind live tv and makes it unwatchable. Also any recordings since we noticed this happening, are also stuttering and unwatchable.

Is there a way to fix this, or do I need a new box?

These symptoms suggest a hard drive issue which may become terminal at some stage.

When it is no longer useable, you should make a fault call but remember you will lose all existing recordings when the box is replaced.

A warm welcome UKAU14 to our Community Forum and sorry to hear about your V6 box issues. I've tried to take a look at your V6 box details but it's currently off. Are you able to turn it on so so I can have a nosey? Does the V6 box make any noises or produce any other behaviour? It may be faulty in which case we can send our a replacement but without seeing the details, it may also require an engineer if necessary.

 

Please turn the box on and let us know so we can check it's details 🙂
