V6 Box Stuck On Welcome Screen

My V6 box has been stuck on welcome screen since Sunday morning. I have followed all of the reset recommendations and still only get as far as the welcome page. I can see that this seem to be happening all over the place since this weekend, yet no way to report this as the call centres are closed. I ran a test on my box online several times and it just comes back as technical issue but no error code. What can I do? Its driving me crazy with frustration.

Hi,

If you're struggling with getting through to CS and the Live chat is not currently available on the main VM website when signed in, a text message only service is available via: 07533051809 Just send a text with the issue you are facing and someone will get back to you as soon as they can.

Here to help! I'm a technician helping out whilst working from home. Find out more

Re: V6 Box Stuck On Welcome Screen

me too tv service fine yesterday but today 07/04 stuck on welcome screen

also tried the reboot 3 x now it just beeps 3 times hi followed by 1 low &

occasionally goes to a download arrow as if it doing an update.

Unable to get any help on 150 due to Corona.

At other end obviously my Gateway hub appears to be working OK

Can send & receive emails so the fibre optic in the street must be OK

Very frustrating since I am self isolating

Re: V6 Box Stuck On Welcome Screen

1a how long have you had the V6 & when was the last time it was working

1b does it ever go beyond the welcome screen

2. have you checked for any outages/maintenance work in your area

3. have you already tried checking cables & rebooting

4, Is your V6 box making any noises e.g. 3 beeps Hi followed by 1 low

In my case it was a faulty hard disk & required a Virgin Engineer with a replacement V6
