V6 Box Not connecting via ethernet

Afternoon folks,

I've been a VM customer for over 15 years and have had 2 V6 boxes for last 18 months or so. Currently oomph bundle customer.

My main V6 box has developed an issue with ethernet connection. It doesn't recognise it or transmit any data to the V6 box. 

The ethernet connection from Hub is aok, 550Mb to my laptop, it's just the V6 box not recognising it. Wifi works fine.

I have completely reset the V6 back to original settings today (and deleted all content) but that hasn't worked. Wifi only still fine.

Spent 40 minutes in queue to tech support earlier before giving up 

Any ideas please? Faulty ethernet connection port to V6 box seems most likely..?

Possibly, perhaps leave it running via wifi rather than calling up

Have you tried a different Ethernet cable?

swap the boxes round?

Yes I'm running via wifi for now. Another 45 minutes on the phone this morning with nobody answering... I think customer services may have been closed. **bleep**

Why are you phoning if your setup is working correctly over wifi?

Same reason if I broke my leg but could still walk on crutches, would I want my leg fixed...

We pay to rent the equipment so they should provide equipment that works fully.

Of course it's a requirement that the Ethernet connection works because if WiFi fails the V6 won't work properly.

Absolutely agree. Why would anybody want to rent a defective device..?

I agree too.

email head of customer services and complain. They will contact you by phone.

search on line for virgin media director of customer services.
