We have exactly the same problem and we also had our broadband fixed recently. The fault reporting is a joke, calling 150 sends me a link to the website and ends the call and the website just tells me to wait 24 hours and then says to wait 24 hours the next day.
[MOD EDIT: Subject title changed for clarity. @insx Please provide more information so the forum can help]

This was a reply to an existing post, seems the forum's broken too!

Not a broken forum, but it's better to start your own thread rather than add "me too" to existing ones - yours have been moved.
You mention getting a link to the website - when you call, choose the "I have a fault" options and then ignore everything else. Don't press anything, don't select anything, just wait.
Otherwise, if you want to explain your issues by replying to this thread, perhaps you can get some help on here.

I got through this morning on the phone and the conclusion was that there is a known problem in the area that should be fixed by 7/1. However, the status page says that there are no known problems in our area.

BTW, I don't think it should be a problem to reply to someone's thread to say that you have the same problem.

I've had this problem too and after reporting it via 150 they've said there's a problem in the area that should be fixed in a couple of days. Fingers crossed!
Note to mods: sometimes it's nice to know it's not just you. Please don't delete my reply.

Hi @insx
The Check Service Status is often only populated with details of wide spread outages.
The automated Service Status number 0800 561 0061 often gives details of more localised issues down to postcode level.
Whilst not ideal it's probably a better indicator of known problems and should also show the latest estimated date/time for the fault to be repaired.

But if you extrapolate that out, then the whole forum becomes a sea of "me too" posts where the OP struggles to get the help they need. One post for one problem is the general rule.
The forum search function can be used to find posts which you can then link to if it helps.
If you want the forum staff to assist here, then please explain the issues you're having - that may avoid the need to call faults.

Service status says no problems in the area and after the 48 hours I had to wait, nothing has changed. I can't do anything now because it's out of hours.
Gone are the good old days when Virgin was £21 per month and you could get someone out the next day when you had a fault.
