Hi MaryA1,

Thanks for using the forums to get this issue with your TV error code looked into, I am sorry for the recent loss of your Husband - We always want to help support you in times like this. I would be more than happy to look into this for you.

I can see our Super User @newapollo has already given you some support and asked a couple of good questions (Thanks!) I'm going to ask these again and add some further questions for you 😊

  • How is your TV box connected to your Hub? WIFI or Ethernet cable?
  • I have a helpful link here if you need it to find out more about the TV error code 👉 TV Errors.
  • I can see on my side that your TV boxes may still be switched off at the moment, so I can't do a full diagnostic test. Could you please turn your box on and let me know?

Thanks!

Hi @MaryA1

Sorry to read the sad news of your husbands passing. Sending you upliftment and support.

Error V273 is a network connectivity error.

Do you only see that error when using catch up TV or do you also see a lot of "To be announced" messages when scrolling through the EPG?

If so that would seem to confirm that there's a problem with the internet, as that's needed to both populate the EPG and also to run on demand and catchup services.

Is the V6 box connected to the internet using an ethernet cable attached to the hub, or is it a wireless (wifi) conenction?

If it's an ethernet cable double check it hasn't come loose.

Have you tried reconnecting to the network?

I hope your issue has been solved, I'm posting this in the hope it might help someone else.

My TiVo box was replaced and like many other people Catch up and On demand gave error V273. I had an online discussion with Virgin Media which didn't solve anything but did get an engineer booked.

Everything seemed to be ok I just got V273, one question that came up was had I restarted the TiVo box and/or the router. Yes to TiVo, no to router. I offered to do it during the call but wasn't asked to.

After the call I thought I'd try anyway just so I could tell the engineer I'd done it. I switched both off, waited 5 minutes, switched on the router and waited until it was working fully. Then switched on the TiVo box. Everything worked fine.

I don't know if anything was done during the call I'm pretty sure that there are several unrelated causes for the error but if you try what I did it might just work.

TiVo & V6 have fundamentally different connectivity, this thread relates to a V6.

TiVo have an in-built modem and don't use your home broadband. Rebooting your router will have no effect on a TiVo whatsoever. A V6 uses your home broadband and does rely on the home-hub.
