Hi folks, my 94 year old mother has a Tivo box and is used to it. She is now getting a message that she should upgrade it to the new V6 box. I just wonder what people think. She doesn't do well with new technology. A new remote will be quite difficult for her to cope with. I just wonder how long the Tivo box she has will work? Will it be OK for a few more years or should I try and upgrade it for her?
OK thanks. I'll call Virgin next week to try and get her a new box. Hopefully they will speak to me even though I'm not the account holder. I also have Virgin. We once had an engineer around who laughed at our Virgin box as it was so old. Neither I or my mother ever seem to get a letter from Virgin telling us it's time to get a new box.

Thanks but she is 94 and deaf. She will have great difficulty understanding somebody on the phone. Any details she gives will only be what I have told her. It seems a bit ridiculous as I'm only requesting a free box upgrade.
