Unable to watch anything On Demand

We have a V6 box and in the last week we are unable to watch anything On Demand - we can select a movie but when we say play, it just sits there with a blank screen and no error codes.

Everything else seems to work OK - TV, My Shows etc...

What TV do you have and how is the V6 box connected?

Re: Unable to watch anything On Demand

The TV is a Samsung UE50H, connected direct to the V6 with HDMI cable.

Both the TV and V6 box are connected to a wired ethernet.

I have now managed to get it working by changing the video output from 2160 down to 1080 - however, this has not been changed before and I presume has always been working on the 2160 setting. If I let the V6 box autoconfigure it chooses the 2160 setting. TV works OK and the playback of recorded My Shows but the demand just wont work anymore at the 2160 setting.

Any idea what might have changed...?

Re: Unable to watch anything On Demand

Yes.

In the latest software update HDCP 2.2 is now enabled for On Demand when the V6 is set to 2160. So it needs to be connected to an HDMI port that supports that.

On that Samsung TV it's probably only one input and not HDMI 1. Usually for older Samsungs you connect the V6 to whichever input is the one that supports MHL.

Re: Unable to watch anything On Demand

Thanks - all sorted now.

One of the inputs is labelled MHL, so we can use that for now.
