Unable to order remote

Having gone here: https://my.virginmedia.com/faults/order-remote-result

 

I go through the process of ordering a new remote, but then it just errors out saying there was a technical error

I think there's a problem with the website which perhaps needs looking into? Or, may be out of stock, who knows.


Dare I call customer services and be put on hold for 1hr? 😞

As a quick FYI, I tried reordering it about half a dozen times, so it wasn't a one-off.

Well, I tried calling customer services, got immediately cut off. Tried again a few hours later, this time got a message saying they were busy and cut off again.

I don't know if https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-tv-lost-or-damaged-tv-remote/download-tv-control-app page uses a different back-end form or not.

Hi I shouldn't really recommend using third parties, but the easiest option is Amazon or Ebay you can buy a new one for £5 or £6. Regards Micky

This issue is resolved. I had to ring into customer services a few times, but finally got through. I wonder if the tool breaks if you have 2 tivo's, because I was asked on the call which tivo the remote would be replacing (as it came already programmed to the correct tivo in the post).

 

Anyway, all sorted, thanks!
