UHD flagged as HD - Intentional tweak to overcome bug?

So recently upgraded to Sky Sports UHD but I noticed a couple of weeks ago that a wish list we had set up for recording West Bromwich Albion football matches would only match with the SD and HD channels and completely ignored the UHD channels.

However, I noticed a couple of days ago that the wish list was set to record todays match from channel 532 i.e. the UHD variant. After looking at the guide and a few others over the past few days it seems the UHD football content on Main Event UHD is being flagged as HD which is why the wish list has picked it up.

Is this a genuine error or an intentional tweak made by Virgin to allow wish lists to work correctly with the UHD channels until an official update is made so that wish lists work correctly with UHD content?

Thanks for reaching out to us. From what we are aware there have been no issues in recording UHD content if shown in UHD. It is entirely possible that the game you recorded was not being broadcast in UHD and only in HD. Hi Sabrina,

It's wishlists that don't work correctly as they don't pick up content flagged as UHD. My wishlist only worked last weekend as channel 532 had the live football flagged as HD instead of UHD.

Thank you for that information. What other programs that are UHD have not been picked up?

Wishlists?  Is that an "old" thing. Like the sound of that but not seen on 360 box.

Looks like the UHD stuff is working via wishlists. I did reset them by switching them to SD only, then back to HD if possible and this then listed the UHD showings in the upcoming episodes as well (previously it only listed SD and HD showings) so not entirely convinced there isn't still a bug here but for the moment things look OK.

Wishlists are fantastic and one of the very reasons I won't move to 360. They are complex to setup but once setup I don't need to worry about variants of series that would require a new series link as 99.9% of the time the wishlist records it anyway. The most useful thing I have it set up for is my father is a big West Bromwich Albion fan so it records all live football matches shown involving West Bromwich regardless of channel or program. This way you don't have to series link and record all the footy programmes and effectively delete 99% of them as they won't be WBA. 360 just seems to be about a fancy interface which doesn't interest me I want useful functionality although the talkie remote thing is a gimmick I can do without as well.
