Tv sound but no picture

Hello.

So this started yesterday. We have sound on but no virgin picture. Virgin box is 5 years old

Checked all leads are inserted fully. After a couple of times of taking out the power lead and doing a hard restart the picture comes back. But it we go onto Netflix and then back to virgin we loose the picture again.

I think from reading on here an engineer will need to visit? Can’t get through to anyone today due to queens funeral - which we want to watch!

anything else I should try?

Try the following:

Switch off both the TV and V6 at the mains plug and then do nothing for 30 seconds.

Switch on the tv only and switch it the the input that the V6 uses.

Then switch on the V6.

It may also worth replacing the HDMI cable while everything is off.

That happens when the TV isn't sending a handshake to tthe box and the copyright protection kicks in, try a different HDMI port or see if there are any firmware updates for your TV

Same issues.

purchased a new hdmi lead and still have the sound and TV guide. Just no picture of the tv programmes.

Thanks for coming back to us @Tor3, are you able to check the HDMI cable in a different port on your TV as @dannylau suggested earlier in the thread?

Regards,
