Our Tivo box is connected to our wifi, and we have 2 network options - 2.4ghz or 5ghz. Based on the readings below, would we be best with 2.4ghz or 5ghz? 2.4 consistently shows very high signal strength, whereas 5 hovers around 45/50/60% but with high speeds. Figures shown are fairly typical but obviously fluctuate.
2.4ghz - Strength - 90%, Speed - 144mbps
5ghz - Strength - 55%, Speed - 702mbps
Am looking for best performance for streaming iPlayer, Netflix, Prime etc

The best connection is always going to be wired by Ethernet.
But both WiFi networks are fine. I would personally go 5GHz but I see the link speed of the 2.4GHz network is still considerably higher than 100Mb so even that will be speedy and stable enough to stream video in high quality.

Hi @griswoldjr
Koda is correct, it's always best to go for an ethernet connection if possible.
Personally if my wifi bands are split then I would go with the 2.4GHz band. I prefer the stronger signal, and as indicated again by Koda both bands speeds are fast enough.

I am considering routing ethernet to the tivo box. Sometimes the 2.4 ghz can drop to around 70mbps. I might try and reposition the tivo box for better 5ghz as that would be the ideal.

Hi again @griswoldjr
70mbps is perfectly OK for streaming, see the table below.

That is really useful.
Thanks
