Ok, let's cover some basics - firstly do you definitely have a V6 box and not a TiVo? Check here if you're not sure - the boxes do connect to the internet differently so it makes a difference.
Assuming you are using a V6.... if you follow Home > Help & Settings > Settings > Network, in the top-right it will report your internet connection status. What does it say? And is your box connected to your homehub using Ethernet cable or WiFi?
In the top-left your box should timestamp the last connection with either success or the reason for failure. Again, what does it say?
If you have a TiVo, please check the front-left of your box where there's 3 green lights. The middle light next to the "heart" symbol is the internet connection, is it flashing or solid?
