TV error code 7400

Hi. Self installed kit yesterday. Main TV box and BB up and running OK but second TV box is showing error code 7400. Please could someone advise/assist? Many thanks.

Follow the advice on https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-tv-error-codes/7400 , you will likely end up calling the activation number on 0800 9539500

Depending which boxes you have (TiVo or V6) remember to make sure any V6 boxes have a stable connection to the internet via your homehub during the activation process. Ethernet cable is ideal, but WiFi should be ok if the signal is strong enough.

Thank you japitts. i have just tried calling the activation line on 0800 9539500 but the offices are currently closed (10:00 am). if anyone who works for VM views this post, please could you advise if you are able to assist remotely? many thanks.

Unfortunately box activations can't be done online.

Try using TV Faults - 150 from a VM phone, or 0345 4541111 otherwise, and follow the options for "I have a fault".

Hi DannyC006,

You could also try contacting  New accounts and Set Up for them to complete the setup and activation.

That would be options 1,1,1 and 4 if dialling 150 from a Virgin landline , or options 1,1,2 and 4  if dialling 0345 4541111 from any other phone

All sorted now. Thanks for all your help. Called the 0345 number and they've fixed it. Many thanks.
