TV control app

I want to use my TV control app as a temporary TV controller via my mobile phone. There are no volume control or mute buttons on the keypad so how can it be described as doing everything that your TV controller does.

It does everything your TV BOX controller does.

The TV Control app is a TiVO app. It controls your TiVO platform box via your home network. It cannot control third party equipment, so does not have those controls. The vast majority of TVs do not have internet functionality built in that controls the set itself (volume, mute etc), only to allow access internet content like Netflix etc.

Only the infra-Red remotes have this capability, as the TV manufacturers release the remote codes to third parties to enable their use across different remotes to their own.
