TV V6 box constantly rebooting

Hi.

My TV V6 box is constantly rebooting.

I looked at the Virgin Media status  and I see that is states:-

"We know of an issue in your area
Loss of All4 app - Customers may see a blank screen.
We have identified the problem and an engineer is on their way.
20 October 10:05"
 
This seems to apply only to All4 app
The fix date is 20th Oct !!!!
 
I have tried the recommendations online.
My Box tests OK and I have tried power cycling etc. to no avail.
 
When the engineers  in my area fix the problem, hopefully before 20th Oct,  will my V6 box be fixed?

Without knowing what you mean by "constantly".. but that aside, TV boxes are designed to occasionally reboot but this is usually overnight to minimise the impact.

If it's happening during the day, then there could be an area fault that your box is trying to manage, or the box could be plain faulty. The All-4 issue won't be causing this.

Call TV Faults and report your issue, if I were you.

Hi. Thanks for the quick reply.
It seems to be in a reboot loop. About every five minutes.
I went online and carried out the tests on my V6 box and it found nothing wrong.
I've power cycled 3 times.
The faultfinding algorithm does not allow for my problem so I never get to the opportunity to book an engineer.

Online chat says there is a 24hr wait time to chat.
All very frustrating!
I'll try the 150 tomorrow if nothing happens overnight.

Still failing.
It cycles from Starting up to Welcome to a Download icon back to Starting up
I'm trying 150.

They did something online and have told me to ring back in 3 hours if it doesn't work.
!!!!!!!!
Why 3 hours?

Without being party to the call, it's difficult to be certain.

I certainly wouldn't rule out it being a technique to get you off the phone.
