TIVO V6 box red lines

Hey all.

i have a TIVO V6 box and last night all of a sudden it created a fault and has red lines on the tv shows and a white circle on the guide.
I have changed the HDMI cable and checked the coaxial cable to make sure it’s secure, removing it and reattaching but still with no avail- we have an engineer coming Saturday but thought maybe someone might have had this issue before and knows a fix?

I’ve uploaded images to my Dropbox as they are over 2mb the size needed to add here…

Hi Jon,

The forum staff won't be able to check your images as they are on an external link.

As with most companies VM block external sites to ensure their systems aren't impacted in any way by malware etc.

It's also for your own security, even though the possibility is rare, if agents had access to external systems they could pass on bank details, credit card details, dob etc.

Looking at the images you've posted it appears to me that either your TV screen has been damaged, or the TV picture settings have been changed.

Do you have any issues when using terrestrial TV?

Have  you tried connecting your V6 box to a different TV to see if the problem follows the box?

You should be able to resize the images when uploading them as per

https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/help/faqpage/title/images_insertimage_v2

  • Click the Upload tab.
  • Drag and drop an image from your computer.
  • Type a caption for the image if you want to add some extra info.
  • Choose an image size.

Note: Full Size inserts the image at the full size of the original file. Small, Medium, and Large insert the image at the sizes defined by the community.
We don't stretch images, so very small images won't get any bigger regardless of the image size you choose.

  • Choose the format of your image and how you'd like to position it within the post.
  • Click Done.

You can also upload an image from the web.

  • Click the URL tab.
  • Paste the web address (URL) of your image.
  • Choose an image size.
  • Choose how you want the image aligned and positioned.
  • Click Done.
