Here we are a year later and no different still can't stream from V6 box to my phone or tablet.
I was sold the idea that I could watch programs from my show on my phone or tablet ,they have never been to connect , no about rebooting of V6 box ,router , devices or reinstalling of apps ,namely Virgin TV control , has helped .
Thing I might go back to Sky ,who I was with for over ten years , when my virgin contract finishs at least there customer service was more responsive.
Given you haven’t posted for almost two years, perhaps you can explain your issue here and the Community and/or Virgin Media can get an opportunity to help.
I’ll start with the obvious.
You use the Virgin TV Control app to watch recordings from My Shows on your V6. The device running the app must be on the same home network as the V6 to allow streaming.
If you wish to watch recordings while away from home, you must download the recordings to your device while on the home network and then you can watch them standalone while away.
You should be aware that there is currently a problem that means the Virgin TV Control app takes around 30-40 seconds to connect to your V6 but, in my experience, it always does connect and function correctly.
