Streaming Youtube

So I got this really annoying bug when selecting the TiVo on YouTube. The TiVo will have multiple listed on YouTube only one of them will actually Stream to the TiVo. Restarting  the TiVo or the device am streaming from does not fix it. It shows up like this on all of my devices, phone, tablet, family and friends devices as well.

The TiVo is connected by cable. As you can see other devices, chromecast, don't do the same. This is really annoying as I have to find the correct one before I can actually Stream.

If anyone knows how to fix or why it's happening I would really appreciate your help. Thank you.

I have never seen this bug before so this is only an idea:

Go to settings>Devices>Name This TiVo Box

Chose a name for it. Give it 10 and reset everything. Hopefully the right one will have updated with the name you've chosen rather than the generic name assigned at the factory.

Hello, am sorry for the not replying sooner but I've been really busy with a big project at work. Thank you for your help. It's not fixed it but it has made it easier to ID the working TiVo. The old one are still there and do not work but with the working one having a different name I can stream without problem.

I’m also having this issue, has there been any way to fix this or will I always have 20 iterations of the same device?

are there any updates to this error yet? its making my virgin box experience unusable. because Im unable to quickly and accurately link from my youtube iPhone app to the Tivo Youtube app. due to the many iterations. they all connect but don't connect at all. if that makes sense? 🤷‍♂️

Welcome to our Community Forum Chadbox1 and sorry to hear that you've sill got a problem with Youtube on your Tivo box.

 

Can you tell us what you have tried so far? Can you try clearing the cache on your TV box by clicking on the following via your remote - Home>Thumbs down>Thumbs up>Play>Play>Play to see if it helps?

It makes me infinitely happy to see a post about this on the forum 😆

We have 3 V6 boxes in my flat and as you can see...it's a tad unruly in the cast list 😂

We also have a Chromecast which gets nicely buried within all this...b1649d82d52d1f82.png

I will give the cache-clear a try though!
