Sound and image pixelation on recordings

Ive just sat down after work to watch last nights UFC event on BT Sport which i recorded last night and it is unwatchable. The image is glitching and pixelating, the sound is glitching about. I can’t fathom why it might be doing this? Any ideas?

Re: Sound and image pixelation on recordings

There's a few possibilities.

There may have been/be a signal fault on the channel in question, which would then be included on the recording. Can you watch the same channel live now?

You may have a problem with your V6's hard drive, which will affect all programmes played from it. If live TV is ok, try pausing and rewinding, see if that plays up. Along with recorded programmes, that uses the box's hard drive.

Re: Sound and image pixelation on recordings

Thanks for your post and for reaching out to the Community Forums, Fhawcaii,

How has the service been since your post? @japitts is correct that it could be a fault at that time of recording or if it may be device/wiring related.

Our guide may also be of help here:  https://www.virginmedia.com/help/diagnostics/i-can-t-watch-my-tv
