I made a web order on Over a day ago adding sky sports bundle bit have had the channels updated on my menu as yet
can any one advise how long this normally takes?

It can take up to 48 hours unless you placed the order over the phone.
You could try rebooting your V6 or using your remote control go to
Help & Settings > Help > Virgin TV > go up to the top of the screen then TV Care and press OK > Missing Channels.? > Refresh my channels list
This can take up to 15 minutes and may require a reboot.
It's also worth checking the SD channels in case they haven't added the HD channels as part of the regrade.
