Sky Sports UHD

I’ve been a member of Virgin for a few months as I moved into a new house and got an extremely good bundle with the top Wi-Fi available and all the packages. 

I was aware Sky Sports UHD was not available at the moment as the engineer told me when installing and also the salesman did, but they informed me I would have it immediately, and this was back in November. 

Fast forward to now and I see a few channels for Sky Sports UHD so I go to click on it and I’m told to subscribe. A bit weird so I go along with it. The CS on then phone are clueless and can’t see why I don’t have it so they send an engineer to me to check. The engineer has literally just left my house after checking and calling CS and the person on the phone said Sky Sports UHD isn’t even available at the moment for anyone. 

So why have I been lied to, why did I get an engineer out for no reason, and why did the previous CS member not tell me. So far my experience with Virgin has not been amazing. 
Does anyone know when it is actually available? I can access BT Sports UHD, On Demand UHD, Sky Movies UHD but not this.

I think the reference to "clueless" is the best answer to why an engineer was despatched - totally unnecessary in this case.

Sky Sports UHD is chargeable on top of a Sky Sports/SS-HD subscription, and also ontop of an existing Sky Entertainment UHD subscription. The cost does vary, but the amount depends whether you have any of Sky Entertainment UHD-VoD and/or Sky Sports HD.

Thanks for the reply. The thing is they’ve said it’s not even available yet and don’t know when it will be. I’m more than happy to pay more for it but the lack of communication is quite irritating.

I am so sorry to hear that you have faced this issue when trying to arrange the Sky UHD channel, it sounds like it's been very confusing and thank you to japitts for their help as well on this.
