Sky News Bad reception

Hi

Just turned Sky News on my V6 box and the picture looks washed out compared to other channels.  I read on another forum that Sky News on Virgin generally has a bad picture.  I subscribe to the Mix bundle so don't have Sky News HD.  Just know the SD picture shouldn't be this bad.

Re: Sky News Bad reception

I can't say as I watch Sky News much, but I certainly wouldn't call their picture on Virgin "bad" - out of interest, what other forum have you seen these comments on? I'd expect Sky News SD to be on a par with other Sky SD channels - so One, Witness, Living etc.

Re: Sky News Bad reception

Fair enough!! Well I've had a look around various channels where there's SD/HD available, and HD is naturally brighter and sharper (as I'd expect) but I don't see anything noticeably worse with Sky SD than, say, Nat Geo SD or Paramount SD

I'm really not sure if that helps or not...

Re: Sky News Bad reception

If you've got a 4K TV SD will tend to look horrible as 576i has to be upscaled to 2160p50.
