Samsung QE49Q60R 4K smart tv not seeing v6 on source

Hi 

Looking for a little help. I’ve just bought a Samsung QE49Q60R tv and on initial set up the tv can’t see the Virgin V6 box on HDMI 1 it’s just coming up unknown. I’ve tried to set up manually so that I can control it using the smart remote however no joy. I just wondered if anyone had any tips? Just wondered if I need to change any settings on the V6?

 

any help much appreciated

Hi, try changing hdmi port,

check TV software is up to date then reset to factory settings.

go to TV setting menu - Broadcasting - turn Auto tuning off

Goto picture - Expert settings - disable 'hdmi UHD color'

If none of this works reset TV settings to factory default.

Have you tried another HDMI input or a different HDMI cable?

Hoping someone can help!

I am having exactly the same issue. When I first set up the tv I had no problem. The tv recognised virgin and I could use the universal remote, life was great.

fast forward to now. The universal remote is not bringing up the guide or able to change channel however it can control volume. The virgin remote can control the channel change and bring up guide but can not adjust volume.

i restored the tv to factory settings thinking that may help. Unfortunately not. Virgin has now disappeared and thinks it is sky. I can still access virgin via the sky button on the home app but back to the same issues with the remote. 

would really welcome some help and support with this as it is driving me mad!

Morning Adam 

unfortunately I still have the same issue. I have tried all the suggested and it’s not worked. I had exactly the same results when I swapped my inputs and the tv saw the virgin box has a sky box. Gut feeling is an update has caused this issue, on which device I’m not sure. 

I will keep trawling the web for a solution.
