My V6 box is ok when cable connected to the Hub but when I move it and set it up on a WiFi connection it does not load the channels and sticks at 16%. Am I missing something? It gives an S101 code too.

All VM TV boxes need 2 connections.
1: The co-ax cable that carries live TV channels
2: The internet connection for OnDemand, streaming & various updates - either wired or wireless via your homehub.
The symptoms you describe are common if the co-ax cable isn't connected.
