It is usual to get a text only from virgin when they come and collect an old Tivo box? I've had no email, just a text out of the blue. Just wondering if it's a scam, but then how would they know I'm a virgin customer with stuff to return.... just poor communication.

Can you post up a screenshot of the text message you've received, verbatim but obscuring any personal info?

TiVo's aren't required back now.

Thanks for you help but I now think it was genuine. I said I'd delay the collection until I'd confirmed it was genuine so I got a reply with my account details, when i switched packages and the serial number of the box she was collecting. I then had confirmation emails confirming receipt of the returned kit.
