Repeated V53 Errors

Hi,

I keep getting a V53 error on my V6 (channel is unavailable)

Picture randomly freezes, no sound for a short period of time then the channel returns back to normal.

This has been going on for quite a while, and have had a new V6 installed a few months ago, but it is now getting a bit irritating

Checked the usual suspects leads/ cables etc and reboot the V6, Service checks say no issues in my area

thanks

John

Does this mean a replacement V6, or an additional multiroom box?

If the latter, try swapping the 2 boxes around and see if the fault follows the box or remains with the connections.

Hi

this was a replacement V6, which is the main use box

I have another V6 in my sons bedroom for >20 months but not used that much as he is at university

thanks

In which case I'd suggest swapping the 2 boxes around to see if the fault follows (box issue) or sticks (cabling problem).

Recordings can be streamed in both directions anyway.

Ok,

So swapped boxes and given it a few days, but the V53 error still occurs.

It lasts for a few seconds upto a few minutes

All connections inside and out appear secure

Do you meam it still occurs on the same box in the swapped location?

Or on the different box in the same location?

I get the error on the different box in the same location

This morning it happened twice, picture freezes, no sound, few seconds later pixelated picture returns first, then sound then back to normal 🤔

Hello jka94036

I have taken a look into this and the set top box is showing as offline, this may be due to an error or outage or it may simply be turned off. If the box is on can you let us know so we can arrange for a technician to call. If it is off can you turn it back on so we can look into this further for you and run more diagnostics?

Rob

Hi,

Both my V6 boxes are left on standby (red led), but now watching so definitely on now

Check your boxes aren't in Eco power saving, this disables remote access.

Should be in Connected Low Power.
