Remote won’t turn off tv etc etc as below

Dialled in

Just started doing this as previously the virgin remote would turn off the tv 

When I use the off button on the virgin remote I get a Entering Standby message on the TV screen and the set top box turns off!

rebooted set top box, changed remote batteries and checked the remote is paired to the tv

 tried other virgin remotes and all do the same

tv will turn off using the tvs own remote

any help welcome please

Just about to do what the kind person who replied to my question suggested 

but it all working again!!

the virgin remote now turns the tv off as before !!

Thanks for the update David.

Hopefully it continues working OK,  but any more issues with the remote please follow the advice in the above link, and if that fails to correct the issue, then order a replacement remote (the link to order online is on the last page in that help section)

Cannot believe it did it again last night but all ok this morning !!!!

I think Ive ordered a new reomote -if you can check Ive done it correctly

Will see how it goes with the new remote when it arrives
