For the past few weeks the remote hasn't been as fast as it usually is. i.e. it's taking 2 presses of buttons to get a response.
New batteries for the remote?
And/or maybe a re-boot of the box? (as there are two "devices" involved in the process - the remote and the box).

The out of the box setting for a V6 controller is in IR mode (infra red) and this requires a line of sight to the box to function.Pairing the remote to the V6 box will switch it to RF mode (radio frequency) and basically as long as the remote is within range it will operate the V6 box.To pair the remote:Home > Help & Settings > Settings > Devices > Remote Control PairingSelect Pair New V6 remote and follow the on screen instructions.
What a numptie......new batteries cured it.
The main reason that the remote is becoming slow. Is any big updates from the broadband router to the TiVo v6 box.
This causes the box to crash from accepting signals from the TiVo v6 remote.
So you have to do a hard reset at the back of the TiVo box. By pressing the on/off switch at the back of the TiVo box.
Everything should be OK after that.
Just give it like 5 minutes to load the software onto the box to the TV screen.
Thank you. Your resolution worked perfectly
