Out of the blue, the remote now only works as infra red and with direct line of sight. Remote itself still works, controls volume on tv. BUT no longer works from an adjoining room, nothing changed as far as I am aware. Is the remote faulty or the box ?

Have you tried changing the batteries in the remote (I'm sceptical, but worth a try), and re-pairing the remote?

Thanks for posting, and sorry to hear you've been having some issues with the remote.

Have you tried what japitts has suggested?

Restarted the box, put in new batteries and then repairing worked

Not sure if it was the restart or just the new batteries, but now working with rf as well

By the way, the batteries still have good capacity based upon a battery tester reading
