Vs5500 is the error box 18% memory plenty of recordings but all of a sudden can't access them. Can't even load the screen to select them.

Boxes connected via cable technician suggested switching to Wi-Fi which was done no change. TV channels play fine but can't access recording internet working fine on phone. Best guess corrupted hard drive I've run diagnostics that showed no issues. Any suggestions

You've posted in the V6 forum, but VSxxxx isn't a TiVo-software error code. I suspect you have a TV360, which is different to a V6 but does have CSxxxx format error codes. Can you confirm? https://www.virginmedia.com/care/tv-fault/which-tv-box
Also you say you've contacted VM, but not what the outcome was?
