Recording playback stuttering and pixelated

If I pause live tv or rewind the picture and sound stutter. Also happening now on recordings. 
Any advice welcome. 

ps. I have rebooted the box multiple times and checked all cables and they are firmly connected.

Recordings and rewinding live TV are using the harddrive. 

Sounds like replacement is needed.

Thanks all, but I have sorted the issue now. 

There is a short cable on the back of the v6 box that I hadn’t noticed before. I disconnected both ends and then reattached, re-booted and seems to be okay now.

Exactly the same issue here, nothing has helped. 

Don't really want to wipe the box unless it will solve the issue.

Any updates on this problem from anyone else?

I tried everything posted.

However, just before I did a full reset of the box I performed a full power cycle using the power switch, leaving it off for a minute or so.

Miraculously, that seems to have fixed it!

Worth noting that shutting down using the remote didn't help - I had to do it manually with the power switch in the back.

I'm guessing there is some sort of software issue, perhaps a memory leak or something?

Hope this helps some other folks
