Our box (Samsung V+) has started mis-behaving. When you pause live TV or watch a recording, the playback occasionally freezes, pixelates and even repeats a few seconds etc.
It feels like there might be faulty sectors on the hard drive.
Anyone got any ideas?

Assuming your live TV is ok, then your suspicions are quite likely correct - and Virgin should replace your box if you call to report your fault.
You could also consider swapping out to a newer V6 box if, as I suspect, you've had your package a while and also have VM broadband.
