I'm having the same issue. V6 box not playing on demand. Virgin Intro plays then freezes. I have an LG 65" oled 4k gx TV. Tried ALL 4 hdmi ports to no avail.
On my other v6 box on 42" 4k TV it works perfectly fine. Not even a virgin intro, goes straight onto the relevant service and plays.
Have you tried swapping the boxes around to see if the fault follows the box?
You might also try using the HDMI lead from your second TV on the first TV to see if that cures the problem. If so it's likely the HDMI lead causing the issue.
Also when changing ports it's best to reboot the equipment so it can perform a handshake and pick up the change.
I don't work for Virgin Media.

If you are still having the problem after newapollo's suggestions, is the V6 connected by WiFi? If so try an Ethernet cable as VOD requires the broadband connection.
