Re: no green lights on my Tivo V6 remote

Hi 

I'm having the same issue. Trying to pair my remote to get it into RF mode in advance of moving the V6 box into a cupboard. 

Pressing the 'minus' button on the box for 10 seconds, then Info on remote for 7secs does not result in any green light. Just solid red. 

I've done a 'TV + Clear' which does result in green light, then 'Thumbs Down x3' then 'OK' which does reset successfully. However repeating the Pairing exercise above still results in solid red. Not green. 

I've replaced batteries with brand new. 

I've reset the V6 box. 

Please help. 

  1. Hold the minus button on the front of your V6 box down for 10 seconds.

  3. Now hold the Info button on the remote down for 7 seconds. The light on the remote should flash green twice. [No, it just stays solid red]

First post on these forums, I'm getting a bit desperate. I seem to have the same issue as the OP, can't get green light on pairing no matter what I try.

Other things I've tried include:

  • new batteries in remote
  • V6 box reset
  • Remote reset

None of these have made any difference to getting a solid red light on trying to pair. 

Are there any other suggestions? I'm planning to move the V6 box into a cupboard so need RF to work.

Sorry to hear of the issues you've been experiencing with the remote control for the V6 services.

It may be worth looking into this link, to see if the pairing of the remote to the set top box can be resolved.

Thanks very much for your reply. Unfortunately I've already tried all the options in that link, with no success. So I've just ordered a new remote, waiting for delivery. Fingers crossed it will be able to pair. I'll update here if/when there's progress.

Thanks for the reply. I've just gone into my account to check Order Status. It says:

It looks like you don't have any open orders!

So I then went back to Order a New Remote, I clicked this and it says:

"Looks like you've ordered a new remote. It can take 3-5 working days for your remote to reach you so please sit tight."

Nothing has arrived yet.

I have done a system check and can see it was ordered, we are in the timescales for the remote to be sent to you, due to the Christmas/New Year period.

Hi All

Thanks for all the replies. The new remote arrived in the post today; I followed the pairing instructions and it worked 1st time. Green lights / beeps / the whole shebang. Now I am a happy camper. Old remote has been put in a kitchen drawer as a IR spare...
